Henry A. Collins
Mr. Collins has served on DFW's Board of Advisors since 1994. Currently, Mr. Collins is a private investor. From 1990 to 2002, Mr. Collins was a Managing Director and portfolio manager with Barrett Associates, a leading investment counseling firm in New York City. Previously, from 1974 to 1998, Mr. Collins was a Managing Director, member of the Management Committee and Director of Institutional Equity Services (research and sales) for Kidder, Peabody, & Co. Mr. Collins joined Kidder, Peabody upon the merger of Clark Dodge & Co., where he had served as a high technology research analyst and Director of Research.
Gerald C. Crotty
Mr. Crotty joined DFW's Board of Advisors in 2006. Mr. Crotty serves as President of Weichert Enterprise LLC, a private equity investment firm. He previously served as Chairman of Excelsior Ventures Management LLC from 1999 to 2001. From 1991 to 1998, he held various executive positons with ITT Corporation and its affiliates, including President and Chief Operating Officer of ITT Consumer Financial Corporation and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITT Information Services. Prior to that time, he served as both Counsel, and then later as Secretary, to the Governor of New York State. Mr. Crotty serves on the Board of Trustees of AXA Premier VIP Trust and on the Board of Directors of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp., and The Jones Group, Inc..
James A. Long
Mr. Long joined DFW's Board of Advisors in 2006. Mr. Long has over 35 years of experience in identifying, acquiring and selling businesses. From 1991 to 2005, Mr. Long was Managing Director and Partner with First Atlantic Capital, Ltd., a leading middle market buyout and private equity investment firm. Mr Long is also currently a Senior Advisor to First Atlantic. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Long was an executive vice president of Kleinwort Benson North America in their private equity practice. Prior to Kleinwort Benson, Mr. Long was an executive vice president and a member of the executive and operating committees of Primerica Corporation (formally American Can Company), where he worked from 1975 to 1998. From 1970 to 1975, Mr. Long was Director of Acquisitions for The Sperry and Hutchinson Company.
Jonathan Shofet
Mr. Shofet joined DFW’s Board of Advisors in 2007. Mr. Shofet is a Managing Director of Neuberger Berman and a member of the Private Equity Fund of Funds Investment Committee. Prior to joining NB Alternatives in 2005, Mr. Shofet was a member of the Lehman Brothers Venture Capital Group for five years, focusing on mid-through late-stage equity investments primarily in the technology, communications and media sectors. Previously, Mr. Shofet was a member of the Lehman Brothers Investment Banking Division, where he focused on public and private financings, as well as strategic advisory in the real estate, technology and utility sectors. In addition, Mr. Shofet is an advisory committee member of ComVest Investment Partners, DFJ Gotham, Edison Venture Fund, Garrison Distressed Fund, LLR Partners, TPG Airline Credit, TPG Credit Strategies, and Wayzata Opportunities Fund. Mr. Shofet holds a B.A. from Binghamton University, where he graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
